Fennec Fox vs Snow Leopard
After weeks of being stolen from his home and trafficked across three countries, the Fennec Fox finally escapes in the mountains of Asia. It’s cold for the little guy, he’s used to the heat of the Sahara not the frigid temperatures of the mountains. His big ears help him stay cool, but now they put him at a disadvantage. His fur keeps him relatively warm, but not enough to trek through the snow. He needs to get home, only he doesn’t know where home is. In the distance he sees something move. He’s not sure what it is, little does he know it’s the worst thing to meet out in the mountains.
The Snow Leopard has eaten five blue sheep today, maybe she should try for something smaller. She sees some movement not too far away, perhaps it’s some food. The Leopard is perfectly comfortable in her environment. Her fur is perfect for the environment, she feels perfectly warm and content. Her tail is like as scarf it keeps the more vulnerable parts of her body warm. Back to the movement, she can see it now. It looks strange, it has huge ears that are disproportionate to the rest of its body. However, it’ll be a tasty moral to add to the blue sheep.
The Fox is getting hungry and scared, the thing in the distance is moving and he doesn’t know what it is. He doesn’t recognize the smell, but he doesn’t think it’s good either. Food wise there isn’t much, he’s a forager and in the snow there isn’t much to find. Nor does he want to borrow in the snow either, it’s far too cold. The thing is the distance is close enough to see. It’s white with grey spots and has four legs and a tail. It’s 50 feet away if the Fox moves now he might get away. The thing is on its haunches preparing to attack. Before the Fox can do anything the thing leaps at him. Sailing 50 feet toward him, the thing catches him in it’s paws and with that the Fox realizes it’s all over.
The Leopard seizes her strange pray. It struggles and bits for a bit, but after her sharp claws dig into its body it quickly stops. Soon the Leopard consumes her new morsal and moves on to find her next meal.
