Deep in the Mongolian jungle, a group of 12 migrant Neanderthals are in search of new life, with the plentiful territory. After living in a large village with a lack of resources, they have come together to find a better spot to raise their young. As they make their way through this vast and treacherous terrain, they use their advanced communication to create a dialogue around the construction of a new village.

Unaware of the nearby Neanderthals, a Giant Armadillo uses its long sickle-shaped claws to dig open a colony of leafcutter ants for a mid-afternoon snack. The soft jungle dirt is making the 3ft creature very successful. After chewing the last of the ants with its 80 dull teeth, it turns around to make its way home to its burrow. In the middle of its short journey, it suddenly raises its 6-inch snout to discover the smell of an unknown creature that is oblivious to the Giant Armadillo’s existence.
Throughout the Neanderthals’ conversation on the prospect of a new home, the growl of their stomachs acts as a constant reminder of the lack of food in this strange place. They do not come equipped with the basic necessities that are crucial to the attainment of food in the Mongolian jungle. Out of frustration, a recently matured male hurls his spear across the humid air towards a Red-Jungle Fowl, but, unfortunately, misses the small bird, instead of creating a loud thump that echoes throughout the environment.
As the Giant Armadillo sniffs the air, it suddenly hears a thump. Its small eyes begin to widen and it decides to pick up the pace. As it quickly moves towards his home it realizes that it has just been cut off by a potential predator. A group of 5’2” creatures peek out from behind the jungle trees. The Giant Armadillo realizes that it is in serious danger.
The Neanderthals use their large ears to pick up on the sound of a scurrying animal. They track the noise to an opening in the jungle floor. They step out from behind large, sturdy trees to find a frightened creature that has begun to burrow into the soft soil. The creature is food in their eyes, and they are determined not to waste this second opportunity to fill their stomachs. They begin to creep towards the creature who lays stiff on the jungle floor.
The Giant Armadillo looks at the creatures once more but is unable to distinguish the predators because of its poor eyesight. It begins to burrow as a result of the predators. This way, only its shell would stick out and the large animals would, hopefully, be unsuccessful in the attack. Once the Giant Armadillo felt it had done all it could, it stops and waits for any sign that the threats had gone.
The Neanderthals now stood right above the small animal’s burrow with their makeshift spears held high. They simultaneously poke the animal’s tough bony-plated shell with their spears, only to discover that their weapons will not be enough to defeat it. The Neanderthals use their superior intelligence and opposable thumbs to pick up the helpless animal out of the dirt. The poor Giant Armadillo has now fallen subject to the food chain.

The Neanderthals take their new prey and find some dead brush to create a fire. They will sleep with full stomachs tonight.
The Neanderthals have won.
