Battle Round 1:
The snow leopard spots a small creature in a hole in the snow, and starts to stalk the small animal, closer, it creeps, until the chipmunk's ears raise in surprise.
Side note: All species of chipmunks are native to North America, except one - the Siberian chipmunk, Chipmunks feel most at home in areas with plenty of ground cover, including logs, trees, stumps, shrubs and rocks. While the ideal habitat for chipmunks is a deciduous forest, woodland or brushland, they’re also comfortable in other areas that provide sufficient cover such as urban parks, fence lines, hedges and houses.
Similarly,
Snow leopards prefer living in ridges, cliffs and rock outcrops. These locations are convenient because they provide camouflage for stalking and sneaking up on prey.

As the chipmunk realizes there is approaching danger, his alertness increases. The snow leopard stalks its prey from above, chasing it down steep slopes, as the chipmunk scurries fast, the snow leopards strength intimidates the little creature.
Luckily, chipmunks are great at finding, and utilizing small spaces to hide, and store food. So the little creature, let's name him Rufus, finds a hole under a rock in the side of the slope. Although Rufus is sneaky, the snow leopard Samantha, is perseverant, and snow leopards can take down prey three times their size, but will also feed on birds and rodents.

Samantha smells Rufus, and her senses heighten with the adrenaline of the hunt. Usually, Snow leopards can leap up to 9 meters, not Samantha..... She has always been very good at hunting larger animals, making her very overweight. Her size might seem an advantage, but with hunting small animals, like rufus, there are issues with agility.
Siberian chipmunks play important roles in their habitats: disperse seeds & fungal spores, important food source for predators, but not today. Samantha struggles at the opening of the cliff for a while, until she realizes it's too late, Rufus has escaped through a small hole in the cliff, in the excitement, Samantha has lost her grip on the paw hold. She tumbles down the cliff side, fortunately for her, cats always land on their feet. Even big cats, even big, big, cats.... Rufus, has won.
