The pallas cat prowls at a distance from the seal, hiding behind the black sea line. Tonjo is his name. His unusually thick fur warms him, but the spots and earthy hues in his coat makes him an easy target against the white and blue background. Even though his colors are out of place, Tonjo can easily hide behind small rocks because his ears are flattened to his head. They don’t poke out, but he still can hear very well.

In the distance, a certain antarctic fur seal moves closer.
Tonjo’s paws are very cold. Although his body is accustomed to cold weather, the ice below his feet is not what he is used to. He licks his paws to warm them up. There is a sound in the distance. The low whimpering of seals. A herd of fur seals are getting closer to Tonjo, with Sid leading the crew.
Sid, the fur seal smells something odd. He decides to investigate, and the rest of his herd follow slowly behind him. As Sid comes closer, moving across the rocks with his back flippers, he comes across a small group of rocks.
Tonjo has taken shelter in the group of rocks that Sid is investigating. He hears the commotion outside his temporary home and decides to stick his head out, in case it is some food.

As the pallas cat steps out, he is met face to face with the fur seal, who lets out a sound of commotion. Sid has never seen anything like the cat, and vise versa. Tonjo’s fur rises up on his back as the action begins.
Tonjo is the first to attack. He feels the need to protect his shelter, and get intruders out. He takes a lunge at Sid, and bites him in the neck with his long canines. Sid barely feels the tough strike though, because he has large pockets of fat around his neck that reduces the blow from other males when fighting for mates.
The Antarctic Fur Seal is now agitated, and rears up, elongating his neck and getting closer to Tonjo.
The pallas cat, who is out of place here, hisses and skids away from Sid, running as fast as it can away through the rocks.
A cliff comes into sight, and the rocky terrain gets tougher. For the cat, this climb is fairly easy. As for Sid and the rest of his herd, they are left on the ice and sand. Taking the loss, Sid scoots himself away from the rocks and goes back to the water.
The fight is over for this round.
